A hot tub or sauna and hot beverages await your return after a day of skiing, shopping or sight-seeing. A cool drink on your private porch will refresh you after a day at the marina, biking or hiking.

The Galena Street Inn boasts a light, spacious interior. "So many people expect a bed-and-breakfast to be this Victorian lace and doilies kind of place with lots of dark corners. When they get here, they're surprised and pleased to see how light it is. It gives people the sense of their being in the clean, light environment."

Thirteen beautifully furnished guest rooms provide solitude, each with private bath, bedding including Scandia Down comforters, cable TV and phones with voice mail and data ports. Large windows with window seats frame mountains so close you feel you are a part of them. The variety of room combinations, range from The King Tower room dominated by an enormous four-poster king size feather bed beneath a two-story atrium, to individual rooms with king or queen size beds, to family rooms with a queen and twin bed, and our two-bedroom suite. All provide our guests with attractive room selections.

Common areas include a cozy living room, large dining area, whirlpool/hot tub, sauna and sun-drenched private deck. A guest dressing room and locked storage area is available for sports equipment. For guests who are looking to mix business with pleasure, the Inn offers meeting and conference rooms and services.

Breakfast includes fresh-baked breads, homemade granola with yogurt, fresh fruits and a breakfast entree. A mixture of dried fruits, nuts, seeds and oats specially prepared at the inn prompted one guest to comment, "My home away from home, killer granola." In addition to the morning fare, home-baked treats and complimentary beverages are available each afternoon.
